7/27/2011 4:16:26 PM New Gloves Requirement Effective July 1, 2011 the Callhoun Facility has a new Glove Policy. Any one entering our facility must wear gloves "Gate to Gate". Exceptions are: Operating Control Rooms, Rack Rooms, Rest Rooms, Lunch Rooms, Break Rooms, on or around rotating equipment. If an employees feels that he can not perform his assigned job while wearing gloves he must, stop the task and call his supervisor. He and the supervisor must assess the job and related issue and the supervisor must make the determination if the gloves may be removed.
8/19/2011 12:44:45 PM Signing In at the department Please remind all your employees that we require all Contractor employees to sign in at the department(s) where they are working. This is in addition to signing in at the Security Gate. Your employees should speak with the area operators and explain where they wil be working and a give them a breif description of the job scope.
2/9/2012 8:25:27 AM New Parking Policy POLICY - All vehicles driven within company’s Company parking lots or designated parking areas must be parked backwards or ready to move forward without having to back out. Please pass this onto all your employees.
3/16/2012 9:42:11 AM Safety Sleeves Requirement Cut Resistant Sleeves on both arms are required when using a knife. When using a knife, Cut Level 5 Gloves are required on both hands. Cut resistant sleeves are required to be worn on both arms.
4/24/2012 3:36:34 PM Hose and Process Piping Safety Safe practices must be used around hose & piping, as well as the proper use of PPE, to prevent this type of injury. The following are the expectations of all mill employees and contractors: 1. Any hose/pipe material and connection method used must be verified to be the proper application of the equipment per the manufacturers’ specifications for all chemicals that can come in contact with the material. Examples – verify proper pressure, temperature, chemical compatibility. Contact your supervisor if you need assistance. 2. All tasks around hazardous systems where spray or leak potential exists will require the use of the additional PPE required by mill policies (ex. chemical goggles, faceshield, chemical suit, rubber boots, respirator, etc) Tasks such as line breaking, draining, flushing, venting, operating valves, equipment startup, equipment shutdown, isolating processes, re-pressuring processes, etc. are examples of tasks where the additional PPE must be used.

2/12/2013 11:35:02 AM New Safety Boot Requirement As of March 1, 2013 all Contractors must wear 8" Safety Boots at our facility
